Good ideas do not wait until you are at your desk. You might notice a problem on a phone, need a file that is only on your Mac and later want to check the result while travelling. Moving between devices can turn one task into several disconnected conversations, each missing the original goal, the latest decision or the reason a step was left open.
What chat history leaves you to do
A synchronised transcript can make the words available in two places, but that alone does not establish which device may execute an action, whether the source file is current or whether a pending request was already applied. Useful handoff needs to preserve the work's identity and outcome while respecting the capabilities and permissions of the device receiving it.
How EVO approaches it
Carry the work, not only the latest message
The intended handoff keeps the original goal, selected context, decisions and unresolved checks attached to one Work. A phone request should arrive on the Mac with enough information to continue a specific job, and the result should return with what actually happened. This builds on the Mac's saved-work foundation rather than promising a second independent assistant on every screen.
Let each device contribute what it can do
The proposed experience uses the phone for capture, review and suitable lightweight work, while the Mac handles tasks that depend on its available files or supported tools. A phone interaction should not pretend to have performed a desktop-only operation. Device availability needs to be visible, especially when the Mac is offline or a necessary file is unavailable.
Preserve local context instead of overwriting it
Time and device context matter during travel. The development foundation keeps the current device's time zone distinct from selected preferences, and a preference transfer must not overwrite another device's local context or cloud choices. This supports a future handoff that understands when work began and where it resumes without treating every difference as a user routine change.
Require a trustworthy handoff before execution
The planned flow needs to confirm the receiving account and device, the current sources and the scope of any proposed action. It also needs a clear outcome for interruption, duplicate delivery and conflicting edits. Those are part of making one continuous job dependable; a checked sync preference cannot stand in for a task that actually arrived.

You notice a confusing product page on your iPhone and want to compare it with files saved on your Mac. This is a product direction, not an available mobile workflow.
Capture the URL and intended improvement on the phone, attached to the relevant project.
On the Mac, review the received request and select the necessary local material before starting supported work.
Return to the phone to review the result, remaining questions and the next decision when that connection is available.
What you take away
The desired outcome is one coherent project record across the day. The phone provides convenience without implying that it can access every Mac file or approve an important action on your behalf.
Your choices
- The planned experience requires explicit device pairing, selected synchronisation and visible receiving-device status.
- Action approval and cloud sharing remain independent decisions rather than consequences of syncing a conversation.
- Users must be able to distinguish a queued request, an arrived request and a verified result.

- iPhone, other operating systems and cross-device project handoff are not publicly available. An account alone does not establish device-sync support.
Next milestones
- There is no released Alpha iPhone client or verified physical iPhone-to-Mac task handoff. Device pairing, real transport, conflict recovery and customer testing remain ahead.
- Windows, iOS and Android are listed as development directions on the download page. Selecting a platform or signing in does not unlock an installer, and no launch date is promised.

Which devices is EVO Alpha being designed for?
macOS is the first product focus. The download page also provides Windows, iOS and Android destinations so you can follow the platform relevant to you.
The current product demonstrations come from the Mac development build. Mobile continuity is a planned extension of the same work-focused experience.
The intended journey is to capture a request on a phone and return to richer work on Mac.
Choose a platform manually if the website’s device suggestion is wrong.
macOS, Windows, iOS and Android are all in development. No public installer is available on any platform. A platform listing is not evidence of a completed app, matching features or a release date.
How do I get, install or update EVO Alpha?
Public downloads and updater feeds are closed. You can submit a Mac preview application; it does not guarantee access.
Signing in does not unlock a download. Installation instructions, supported hardware and verified public update packages will be published with a qualified release.
Will EVO make assumptions about my habits or health?
Time-aware assistance is designed to adjust the work rhythm using local time and your preferences, without treating late-night or frequent use as a health diagnosis.
The local development feature distinguishes declared preferences from tentative routine patterns and can reduce schedule comments or use a temporary focus mode.
During a late deadline, a shorter next-step summary can be useful without telling you that your schedule is unhealthy.
Turn comments or routine learning off, set work preferences, reset history or request a temporary sprint.
Routine guesses can be wrong. This is not medical monitoring, emotional companionship or an unsolicited push-reminder service; real-user helpfulness remains to be evaluated.
How would a request on iPhone continue on Mac?
The planned experience keeps the same goal and reviewable progress across devices: capture the request on iPhone, continue suitable work on Mac, then review the result on the phone.
The design preserves where a task started and treats access, device capability and action approval as separate decisions.
You might note a website issue while away, then review the relevant file and proposed change when back at your Mac.
Cross-device sharing would require an explicit choice; desktop actions would still need the appropriate review.
This is a planned workflow, not a released iPhone feature. Live pairing, synchronization and physical-device handoff have not been qualified.
Will EVO understand that different devices have different context?
The development design distinguishes a device’s time zone and capabilities from the account’s longer-term preferences, rather than assuming every device is in the same situation.
A device change or travel-related time difference should be treated as context to confirm, not proof of a new routine or permission.
A request started in one time zone may be continued elsewhere without rewriting when the original request happened.
Correct location or schedule assumptions and choose whether temporal preferences may be shared when synchronization becomes available.
Cross-device operation remains planned. Device hints cannot reliably identify the person using a shared computer or establish that travel occurred.
