Choosing a supplier, assessing a market claim or comparing a new tool usually involves more than finding one convincing page. Sources use different definitions, repeat one another and age at different rates. You need to know which facts actually support the decision, which are interpretations and what could change your conclusion. A polished summary without that distinction leaves the review work with you.
What chat history leaves you to do
An answer generated from general knowledge may sound current even when the underlying facts have changed. Adding links helps, but a link alone does not show that a source supports a particular statement. Even a research-capable chat product needs a way to preserve the evidence and outstanding questions if the decision will be revisited later.

Make the research question concrete
EVO keeps the goal and relevant constraints with the research work. Comparing tools for a small team is different from listing the most famous tools: budget, required capabilities and acceptable compromises shape what evidence matters. The supported flow can distinguish a fact lookup from a request to inspect how a website actually renders.
Keep evidence alongside the conclusion
Source-backed reports preserve references and captured material so you can inspect the basis of the answer. An unavailable source remains unavailable; a model sentence is not a substitute for retrieved evidence. The useful result connects important statements to their sources and leaves incomplete or failed parts visible, rather than making the report appear more complete than the work performed.
Separate source facts from interpretation
A comparison often requires judgement: a smaller feature set may fit your needs better, or two vendors may define an active user differently. EVO's reporting approach separates that reasoning from the material it relies on. You can challenge the inference while retaining the underlying source, or replace a source without losing the question you were trying to answer.
Return to a decision without treating it as timeless
The saved Work keeps the question, chosen evidence and next steps together. When relevant web observations are carried into a supported continuation, they need fresh observation rather than being silently treated as current. This helps distinguish a decision that is ready for review from one whose evidence needs updating.

A small team is choosing a service for a particular workflow. It supplies candidate URLs, required features and the constraints that would rule out an option.
Inspect the selected public sources and organise the material around the actual decision criteria.
Create a comparison with source references and flag a missing price detail or conflicting definition.
Keep the recommendation separate from those unresolved facts, with a clear list of what to confirm before committing.
What you take away
The intended deliverable is a decision brief: a source-linked comparison, the reasoning behind the preferred option and questions that still need an answer. It is easier to review than a list of search results and remains connected to the original project.

- Choose the research scope and review the original sources before relying on an important conclusion.
- Correct a constraint or supply a better source, then request a revised comparison.
- Keep private documents out of public research unless a separate supported sharing choice explicitly includes them.

- Member search has limited staging test evidence. A recorded 7 September website inspection saved desktop/mobile captures and rule-based findings.
- Current source capture and inline evidence remain unqualified together. The recorded inspection did not include model visual review.
Next milestones
- Public cloud research availability depends on the separately qualified Alpha service. The website is a product guide, not a running research agent.
- A citation does not make a source true. Breaking news, consequential decisions and conflicting claims still require careful review; no universal fact-checking or measured accuracy promise is made.

How does EVO help me check web information?
Search can identify candidate sources, but a search snippet is not a verified page. Open and check the source before relying on an answer.
The new inline Evidence Layer remains internal. Search, page capture and final synthesis have not yet passed one complete current-source journey.
How does EVO handle information that may be out of date?
EVO keeps source timing and saved state distinct from present-day truth, and reviewed continuation excludes certain changed or time-sensitive results until they are checked again.
A previous web observation is not automatically a fresh observation. A changed selected file or application result can invalidate its earlier context.
Returning to a price comparison should trigger new source checking rather than treating last week’s price as today’s.
Provide updated material, review source dates and explicitly continue the checks you need.
A capture date does not establish when the publisher updated a page. EVO does not continuously refresh all saved information in the background.
Does an answer with sources have to be correct?
No. Sources make an answer inspectable; accuracy also depends on what the source says, its date, independence and whether the conclusion follows.
EVO’s research structure links claims to evidence and keeps contested or unsupported parts visible instead of treating a link as automatic verification.
Three articles repeating one press release are not three independent confirmations of a product claim.
Open the evidence and ask for stronger or contradictory sources when the decision warrants it.
A genuine source can still be mistaken, incomplete or misinterpreted. EVO is an aid to checking, not a replacement for all expert judgment.
How does EVO deal with sources that disagree?
A disagreement should remain part of the answer, with the competing evidence and the decision it affects made clear.
The research workflow can retain supporting and counterevidence rather than flattening every source into one confident narrative.
A vendor’s current specification and an older independent test may describe different versions; comparing dates and scope can explain part of the difference.
Ask to inspect the competing passages or narrow the question to a particular date, region or product version.
EVO cannot always resolve the conflict. It may need another source, a direct test or a clearly marked unresolved conclusion.
